Orlando Memorial at the Santa Cruz Wharf

We grieve those who we have lost but we do not allow hatred to separate us, as love is what makes us strong.

Tonight the Santa Cruz County LGBTIQ+ community gathered at the Santa Cruz Wharf entrance to remember and honor the victims of the Orlando Pulse massacre. A rainbow flag was lowered to half staff while the names of each person were read aloud. The city will allow the memorial to remain for a few days as a public display of community grief.

Thank you to Gloria Nieto and everyone who helped to make this memorial possible.
